Ricky--you had so many leadership qualities.  And you left us just way too soon.  What a loss indeed....  You are truly missed.  Susie

Richard and I met at Pasadena Elementary School way back in 3rd or 4th grade. His house was only a few blocks from mine, so as kids we (Bob Kelly, Bud Hale, Mike Bugner John Kiker and others) shared many great times together.  Our summers were filled with fishing, riding bikes,& playing sports.

In 7th grade we took the leap to Disston and three years later it was on to Bogie. There we met many of our new and great life-long friends.  Like most of us in high school, Richard loved sports, motorcycles, music, girls and fast cars... but not necessarily in that order.

After high school Richard went on to become manager and part owner of various Leverocks Restaurants. With his leadership and attention to quality, these restaurants became some of the most highly rated in all of Pinellas County.

Richard possessed many great qualities, but the one I will always associate most with him is his sense of loyalty. His friends were his top priority and he never forgot them or took them for granted.

Toward the end, it was one of these friends, Ron Van Etten, who returned this friendship and loyalty. Ron (aka.R.V.,Bubba R) took it upon himself to person-ally take charge of Richard's care and made sure Richard always had trans-portation to and from the never-ending doctor visits.

The pics above came from one of our many trips to Fort Desoto Park.
